HTC made sure not to let you miss any important messages or calls while you’re having an exciting experience in the virtual world. Being said that, the availability of Vive Focus is only in China, to make this possible the company launched their exciting new update under the name of “system update 2.0” that will help receiving and responding to calls and messages including some other handsome amount of features as well.
Another very notable feature of the fresh update is the “Surrounding mode” which is basically a translucent view mode that can let the user see through the screen into the real world while they enjoy a scene from the virtual world and what makes it all the way more attractive is the ease of accessibility with a double click on the screen. This feature actually made possible for HTC Vive’s China Regional President Alvin Wang Graylin to walk the length of a runway while performing catwalk at the Shanghai Fashion Week two months prior. Another demo presented at a conference today by Alvin was the receiving of a call and walking the runway simultaneously without losing balance.

Yet another cool feature is the extra storage that this app brings allowing uses to install virtual reality apps on the Vive Focus’s storage directly independent of built in storage of the headset. Additional features of hand movement tracking, viewing mobile screen over the headset and headset mirroring to TV. Technology however comes with some flaws which need to be fixed, one of the complaint that came up to the surface by a user was the mismatch of movement when on a vehicle while the vehicle changed its speed and direction. HTC has reportedly resolved this problem and has introduced a “Passenger mode” on its update that let the passenger enjoy a full on virtual experience while they travel from one point to another.
HTC Vive Focus only being confined to the premises of China is depriving rest of the world from the charm of this modern technology. We can not wait for this gadget to go global!
