Error 0x80240439 is a Windows Store error which is seen on Windows 10 Mobile and Desktop devices, when it cannot update or download apps from the store. The issue could be due to several reasons, for example “your firewall”, a windows update preventing updates from the store app, mismatch between the store version and the download server or if the server is overloaded but usually this specific error is resolved by updating Windows.

On Microsoft Lumia Phones
On Microsoft Lumia phones, go to Settings, tap Update and security, tap Phone update and then tap Check for updates. Depending on when the phone was purchased, it might take a while to download and install them all, but when it’s all finished, the error will no longer appear.
On Desktop/Notebooks Running Windows 10
On desktop devices running Windows 10, there are several ways to update. The first way is to click here and click “Update now” which should download and install the latest windows updates on your system, if Anniversary Update is applicable, then it will install the Anniversary Update.
Alternatively, you can go to Settings> Updates & Security>Windows Update and click “Check for updates”. Download all updates you’re missing, restart the device as instructed and the error will disappear.
