Hi-Fi Rush Might Make an Appearance at Xbox Games Showcase Extended

Yesterday was a great day for Xbox fans as Microsoft delivered on their expectations with the Xbox Games Showcase. The event was packed with new games from both first-party and third-party developers.

Renowned studios like CD Projekt Red, SAGA, Atlus, and Capcom participated in the showcase, unveiling new titles such as Persona 3 Reload, Persona 5 Tactica, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, and a gameplay trailer for the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 expansion, Phantom Liberty. Fans were also thrilled to see the official reveal of long-awaited first-party games like Fable and Avowed, among others.

In total, the event featured 27 games, with 21 of them headed to Xbox Game Pass. Microsoft didn’t stop there—they also announced the all-new Xbox Series S Carbon Black – 1TB during the showcase.

Following the Xbox Games Showcase, Starfield Direct took the stage, providing eager fans with a wealth of new details about Bethesda’s upcoming RPG, Starfield. Additionally, leaked Starfield-themed Xbox accessories, including a wireless Xbox controller, headset, and the Starfield Constellation Edition (Collector’s Edition), were officially showcased.

But the excitement doesn’t end there. Microsoft is preparing for the extended version of the Xbox Games Showcase, where the creative partners (third-party studios) will have the opportunity to showcase their games. Hi-Fi Rush, a surprise hit Xbox game that was shadow dropped at the Developer Direct earlier this year, is expected to make an appearance after a tweet from the game’s director.

While there is no specific information about what’s to come for Hi-Fi Rush, fans are speculating about the possibility of a new DLC or even a physical collector’s edition, considering the game was initially released only digitally.

The Xbox Wire keynote confirmed the Xbox Games Showcase Extended, stating,

That’s not all for Xbox, however. Join us on Tuesday, June 13, at 10 am Pacific / 1 pm Eastern / 6 pm UK for Xbox Games Showcase Extended. The event will provide deeper dives into Avowed, Towerborne, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom, and Microsoft Flight Simulator – Dune Expansion, as well as games from our creative partners that we didn’t show you today.

We’ll have in-depth interviews, behind-the-scenes features, gameplay walkthroughs with brand-new footage, and more! And you may even see some very special guests show up, perhaps even a celebrity.”
