Here’s Every Major Xbox Studios Title Showcased in Today’s Xbox Games Showcase Event

Xbox Series X is set to come out soon. It would mark Microsoft’s entry into the next-gen console space. Not to mention, it has been beating Sony to the race and this time too, it seems to be the case. While PlayStation announced its games lineup when it showcased the console, Xbox now follows with its games lineup in its latest Games Showcase. While many developers make games for consoles and PCs, we are currently focusing on the ones from Xbox Studios, the exclusives.

First, we look at the world premiers for the games.

Halo Infinite

This was the highlight of today’s showcase and finally we were able to see some gameplay. With what we have seen so far, I think its shaping up to be a great game. Master Chief returns as the main character (duh!) and the story takes place on an unidentified ring, few years after the events of Halo Wars 2. The main enemy faction this time around seems to be the “Banished” and we have only encountered them in the Halo Wars games. Overall we are very excited, an exact release date wasn’t given but it’s confirmed for Holiday 2020.

As Dusk Falls

As Dusk Falls

From a new studio, Interior/Night, the title is based on a multi-generational story which revolves around people sacrificing and understanding how mistakes from the past can come back and haunt the present generation quite a lot. The story is set in the American Southwest where two families are actually homebound, stuck in them actually.

This is a title from the Obsidian studios. The title is a first-person role playing title. It is set in the world of Eora, a fantasy land. No further details were given on the title.

Forza Motorsport

Forza Horizon

Now, this is perhaps one of the flagship titles for Xbox. It is, without a doubt, one of the best racing simulators on the market today. The title, running native with the Xbox System is set to be in the early stages of its development. The developers are working to integrate it well with the console. This would result in the title actually running at 4K resolution at 60fps. It would also support Ray Tracing with the new Xbox’s hardware capabilities which would handle reflections and shadows quite well. It is still in early development and a release date wasn’t given.

Apart from these major announcements, there were other games such as Everwild, Grounded, Psychonaughts 2 and Tell Me Why which were highlighted. Although announced earlier, updates were given on the titles’ developments and when they would drop for the console.
