Guerilla Games, the developers of Horizon: Zero Dawn and the Killzone games, have been recruiting some of the developers who have notably worked on Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Siege.
As discovered by a ResetEra member, game director Simon Larouche is currently working on an “unannounced title”. Simon Larouche had previously worked with Guerilla on Killzone 3. After his time at Ubisoft Montreal, the game director was picked up by Guerilla nine months later. Another multiplayer developer who worked for Ubisoft, principal game designer Chris Lee was recently hired by Guerilla for likely the same unannounced title.
The shifting of the two developers has quickly become cause for speculation, with fans raising hopes for multiplayer in Horizon: Zero Dawn’s sequel. While some are expecting online co-op for Horizon: Zero Dawn experience, others are hoping for a Killzone reboot with online gameplay.
Simon Larouche’s LinkedIn describes the upcoming unannounced title as “Secret Game is Secret!”. Judging from Chris Lee’s LinkedIn, who has worked on several online multiplayer titles, the possibility of Guerilla’s next title having a multiplayer focus is only extended.
