GTA 6 to Include “Creative Benchmarks For the Series” Claims Publisher

According to publisher Take-Two, the upcoming Grand Theft Auto game would “establish creative benchmarks for the series.”

During today’s financial update Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick commented on the rumor stating:

“With the development of the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series well underway, the Rockstar Games team is determined to once again set creative benchmarks for the series, our industry, and for all entertainment, just as the label has done with every one of their frontline releases.”

Grand Theft Auto 6 doesn’t have a release date as of yet, but Rockstar did state back in February that the game was in “active production,” and 200 new employees suggested a shift in focus towards the project. According to a story from last month, the game would take place in a fictionalized version of Miami and include two main protagonists, one of which will be the first female lead in the franchise. According to rumors, the two leads would take cues from notorious bank robbers Bonnie and Clyde.

The release of GTA 5 was almost nine years ago. Grand Theft Auto 6, which is expected to be released in 2024 or 2025, is the highly anticipated GTA sequel that fans have been waiting for so long.
