Google Pixel 4a Full Specifications, Camera Capabilities, Availability And Expected Price Details Indicate A Challenge To Apple iPhone SE

The Google Pixel 4a, an innovative Android smartphone, has been steadily appearing in leaks. Now the entire details of Google Pixel 4a, including all specifications, camera capabilities, processor, RAM, sensors, availability as well as expected price have leaked online just two days before it is officially launched.

The Google Pixel 4a is an interestingly designed and fabricated Android smartphone from the search giant that builds and maintains the Android Operating System. The Pixel 4a is a rather big diversion from the premium Android smartphones that Google has been making and attempting to sell over the past few years. The Android mobile phone appears to be aimed directly against the Apple iPhone SE, which was built and manufactured as an affordable iPhone option against the $1000+ iPhones.

Google Pixel 4a Final Retail Edition Specifications and Features:

Google Pixel 4a features a 5.8-inch Full HD+ punch-hole OLED display with HDR and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, which does appear smaller than other popular Android smartphones from Xiaomi, Samsung, and others. But Google has integrated support for its Always-On Display and Now Playing features too.

Google has packed a decent mid-range and fairly recent Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset and coupled the SoC with a healthy 6GB of RAM. The adequately powerful processor is also featured inside the Poco X2 and certain variants of Samsung Galaxy A71.

The Google Pixel 4a packs a rather small 3,140mAh battery, which can be recharged using the included 18W Fast Charger. Some of the notable features inside the Google Pixel 4a includes a decent dual speaker system and the Titan M security chip for enhancing security, privacy, and data protection.

It is reassuring to note that Google has not cut corners in the camera or imaging department. The Google Pixel 4a gets the same 12.2-megapixel main camera that was featured inside the flagship Google Pixel 4 series last year. The primary camera features an f/1.7 aperture, optical image stabilization, and dual pixel phase detection autofocus. The front-facing camera on the Pixel 4a is an 8MP unit with 84° FOV and F/2 aperture.

Being made by Google, the Pixel 4a gets the pure or stock Android 10. In addition to receiving security and feature updates before any other Android smartphone, Google is promising 3 years of major updates. This means the Pixel 4a will be getting Android 11, Android 12, and Android 13 upgrades in the future.

The stock Android 10 also includes, along with the original modes, Night Sight, which should enable incredibly low-light photos. The camera also supports 4K video at 30 FPS and 1080p video at 120FPS.

Google Pixel 4a Retail Price, Launch, International Availability:

The 6GB RAM plus 128GB internal storage variant of Google Pixel 4a will reportedly retail at $349 in the US. International availability is limited to the UK, Ireland, Germany, Australia, Japan, and Canada. There’s also some indication about the Google Pixel 4a being available in France as well. The Pixel 4a variant with 5G connectivity will reportedly launch in fall and is expected to cost $499.

Google is expected to announce the Pixel 4a on August 3, 2002. However, there’s no confirmation about the actual availability of the pure Android smartphone with some of the best Google tools and customizations.

At $349 for the 4G variant, the Google Pixel 4a is cheaper than the budget-oriented Apple iPhone SE. The iOS smartphone retails at $399, which is surprisingly a very aggressive price point for Apple. Not only is Google attempting to beat Apple in terms of pricing, but the search giant has also doubled the internal storage to 128GB instead of the previously believed 64GB.
