God Of War was an amazing game and considering the graphics that you got on the PS4, it has to be considered a marvel keeping in mind how old the hardware is. A God of War sequel is bound to make its way keeping in mind the success of the game and environmental artist Nate Stephens had some interesting things to say regarding the matter.
Stephens said that if there was ever a God of War sequel it would be bigger and better than the first one. The following is what he had to say regarding the matter.
“We still want to be God of War. What I want to say is, the first battle in this game when you’re fighting The Stranger is really an epic fight. It ends with you two destroying the entire environment around you. It was really hard to create, I myself was working on the lighting for this level, and it was super hard to get it to work. So if we have a meeting with Thor or Odin, naturally, it must be bigger than this, better than this.”
The fight scene with the stranger was indeed an epic part of the game, not to mention the game as a whole has been praised by thousands if not millions, who have played it. I agree, if there is going to be a God of War sequel then it should be bigger and better. I think that we might see a new game for some time though. It is possible that Sony will wait for the next generation of consoles to come out in order to provide better graphics.
While the God of War sequel has not been officially announced, Cory Barlog, the game’s director, did talk about how the choices you make in God of War will affect the sequel. Stephens was very careful with his words and he went on to state the following:
“This game was very good, but we think we can make it even better. And of course, it must be a little bit bigger. If we do another game — no one actually said that we are doing it — it will be bigger, better, longer.”
Let us know what you think about all this and whether or not you would be interested in playing the God of War sequel.
