FIFA 18, the latest installment of the most popular football game series, will be getting a major update soon. The patch will be deployed after the Champions League final at the end of May and will introduce a new World Cup game mode.
EA Sports, developers of FIFA 18, announced on Twitter that the game will be receiving a downloadable update on May 29th. The update will enhance the game by adding new features as well as upgrading existing ones. The reveal trailer for the upcoming patch was posted on Twitter yesterday:

2018 FIFA World Cup
The 2018 FIFA World Cup will be held in Russia this summer. The new World Cup game mode will allow the player to either play as one of the thirty two teams qualified for the major FIFA tournament as well as set up custom tournament brackets. Fans excited for the World Cup will surely be thrilled to explore this new game mode.
FIFA World Cup™ Ultimate Team
A core feature of games in the FIFA series is the Ultimate Team mode. The new and improved FIFA World Cup™ Ultimate Team brings with it a revised chemistry system which allows you to link international players. EA also says that all-new icons will be added to the game mode. The ‘Double Pack Incentive’ gives you a pack of equivalent value in FUT 18 for every Standard or Premium pack you purchase in FIFA World Cup Ultimate Team.
The update includes a number of new stadiums that you can read more about here. You will be able to play in the new stadiums and use official team equipment in both offline solo matches and online with friends.
