Fortnite update V3.6 went live today and introduced a new gameplay item, weapon adjustments and bug fixes. The downtime started at 4 AM Eastern Time and the patch notes were uploaded on the Epic Games website.
The ‘Clinger’ is a sticky explosive device with uncommon rarity. The clinger can spawn anywhere in stacks of 3 with a max stack of 10. A fuse of 2.5 seconds activates once the clinger is stuck to a structure or a player. Once the fuse burns out, or the structure the device is attached to is destroyed, the clinger explodes dealing 100 player damage and 200 structural damage with a 1 tile radius.
Other notable changes include the reduction of Remote Explosives spawn chance in chests by 40%. The Minigun recoil has been reduced by 10% and accuracy increased by 10%. The damage of the Minigun was upped to 19 for Legendary and 18 for Epic rarity.
A few updates ago, Epic Games implemented a first shot accuracy feature. This allowed players to remain in cover by crouching and standing in quick succession while shooting with pinpoint accuracy. Now, first shot accuracy is reset when you change stance or switch weapons. Short fences will no longer act as an obstruction when you try to build a structure in the same tile. Spawn height and drop velocity of supply drops has been doubled and the balloon health is different for every game mode.
A refund system has been implemented which allows you to return up to 3 cosmetic purchases in exchange for V-Bucks. This feature can only be used 3 times per account. Emotes, Gliders, Harvesting Tools, Back Blings and Outfits are the only items that can be refunded.
The update greatly improved hit registration of crossbows and bolt actions snipers. The Port-a-Fort, which was added a few updates ago, saw improvements and bug fixes. The trajectory preview has been refined and the tires located at the base of the structure no longer prevent fall damage. The patch contained numerous bug fixes for both Battle Royale and Save the World.
