Fortnite Adds the Quad Rocket Launcher, Port-a-Fortress Returns

Patch v6.02 for Fortnite is now live and adds a new explosive weapon alongside a new limited time mode to the battle royale. Following downtime, patch v6.02 is now live with a Quad Rocket Launcher and a new limited time mode.

Quad Rocket Launcher

The latest addition to the Fortnite battle royale arsenal is capable of firing up to four “lobbed” rockets in quick succession. The Quad Rocket Launcher can be found in Epic and Legendary variants, which deal a base damage of 80 and 84, respectively. The weapon can be found in chests, supply drops, and vending machines.

Moreover, today’s patch brings the recently added Port-a-Fortress back into Fortnite. Last month, the item was temporarily removed from the game to performance issues. Epic has also decided to tweak loot drop rate of several items, such Heavy Sniper Rifles and Rocket Launchers. For the full list of adjustments, check out the official patch notes.

Disco Domination LTM

“It’s time for the ultimate dance-off. Dance Floors have spawned around the Battle Royale island. Take them over by clearing out any enemies and then dancing to raise a disco ball up from the floor.”

Disco Domination

Fortnite battle royale’s new limited time mode is a unique take on the classic 50v50 game mode. The objective is to fill up your team’s dance meter by capturing dance floors that can be found scattered across the map. A total of five dance floors will be available, and may be captured after the area has been cleared of enemies. As time goes on, captured dance floors will fill up the dance meter much faster, allowing teams to catch up quickly. Loot rules are the same as 50v50, and the glider redeploy mechanic from the Soaring 50s limited time mode is activated in Disco Domination.

The remainder of the patch addresses a few bug fixes and performance issues on the Nintendo Switch version of the game.
