Fix: Xbox Error 80072ef3

You will get the error code 80072ef3 preventing you to sign in to your xbox live account after you provide  your e-mail and password. The issue most commonly arises due to outdated or corrupt cache files, that contain old information stored within them, hence when trying to sign in or doing something else where the system wants to check Cache, you will be presented with this error.

Therefore deleting the cache content will usually fix this error. Before you begin, make sure that your Xbox can connect to the internet.

Clearing The Cache Files on Xbox

Press the Guide button on controller. Go to Settings -> System Settings and Select Storage.

Highlight Storage, but don’t select it. We don’t need to open it.

Hit the Y Button on the controller for Device Options.

Now on the Device Options screen, choose “Clear System Cache

On the prompt for maintenance select YES

Now, we need to re-download our Live Profile.

Press the Guide button again.

Choose Download Profile. If it is not displayed, then press the X button and then check.

Choose Download Profile again, from the bottom of the screen.

Now, type in your e-mail address for the xbox account and provide your password to sign in.

Download and save the profile to the appropriate storage device.
