Fix: WLDCore.dll Missing Error

Windows Live Mail is a freeware email client from Microsoft which was developed for the older versions of Windows and was discontinued later. Rearranging of Files: The Error is caused usually after a Windows upgrade or after a reinstall of the application. There has been a glitch with Windows that it moves the “WLDCore.dll” and the “WLDLog.dll” out of the folders and groups them in the “Shared Folder.

Method 1: Copying WLDCore.dll

Since the Files have been grouped by Windows in different folders, in this step, we will be copying them back to the original folders. For that:

  1. Navigate to the following address.
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Live\Shared

    Note: Also check “Program Files” if you don’t find the Windows Live Folder.

  2. Right-click on the “WLDCore.dll” and the “WLDLog.dll” files and select the “Copy” option.

  3. Navigate to the following folder, right-click anywhere and select “Paste“.
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Live\Messenger

    Repeat this process for the following folders as well.

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Live\Mail
  4. Try using the app and check to see if the issue persists.

Note: There are two directories where Microsoft may have installed Live Mail. If the above steps do not work for you then try doing the same without (x86)\ in the path. So your paths will be
