New footage has been released for Fallout London, the planned DLC fan expansion for Fallout 4.
The mod was announced a year ago and has since gotten multiple gameplay and environment-showcasing clips. This unique project’s developers have revealed additional footage as part of a third-quarter development trailer, including new settings, cars, music, adversaries, and more.
According to the project’s official blog, Fallout London will not have a voiced protagonist. The team further explained the decision “This is due to a multitude of reasons; however, the first and foremost is the lack of content available to us for having a voiced protagonist be in London“
The massive Fallout 4 mod recreates a post-apocalyptic version of London. As a result, it expands the Fallout universe in its entirety. Fallout London begins in 2237, 50 years before the events of Fallout 4, and serves as a bridge between the first Fallout and its sequel. Fans may dive headfirst into the nuclear holocaust all the way to the gates of Parliament in this DLC-sized extension.
Additionally, in a fresh development update, however, creator Dean Carter stated that the characters based on Queen Elizabeth and King Charles are being removed. After the passing of Queen Elizabeth II on September 8, 2022, Fallout: London swiftly tweeted that the intended character would be dropped.
In concept art, Queen Elizabeth and King Charles are both portrayed as “ghouls,” Fallout’s version of zombies, which are essentially people who became mutated after the nuclear bombs detonated on October 23, 2077.
We have always maintained that if she was to pass away before the mod was complete, we would change it, do not expect them in there. There’s no point asking in the comments. There’s no point moaning. It’s the official stance of the mod, and it will not change.”
