Fallout 76 has been announced at E3 2018 and while previous Fallout games were single player only, this one is multiplayer, but with a twist. The map is not shared and you will be sharing it with only 24-32 players. This makes things interesting indeed. You will be able to play Fallout 76 in 4 player co-op.
According to the Fallout 76, Bethesda will push free content updates and DLC for years and they will all be free. On the other hand, there will be microtransactions but they will be cosmetic only. If you don’t want to spend the money, then you don’t have to as you will be able to get these cosmetic items through gameplay as well.
Spending money will not give you any kind of advantage over other players other than that you will look better, maybe. Fallout 76 is an ambitious game and while the changes might take some getting used to, it is 2018 and live games are the future. Bethesda has to move with the trends and that is what they have done.
Fallout 76 is not Fallout 5 and can be considered as a spin-off. The developers are experimenting with the game and players will have a look at the game when the BETA is announced. This should be very interesting indeed and as someone that has played the previous games, I am looking forward to checking out the upcoming one as well.
If you are interested in pre-ordering the game then you should know that there is a Fallout 76 Power Armor Edition that comes with a power armor helmet, which is something that all Fallout fans are going to want. Be sure to check that out as well. While that version will cost you a lot of money, it is a Fallout fan’s dream come true and I expect it to fly out the doors and be sold out in no time at all.
While we do not know what the DLCs are going to be, getting them for free is a great motivation to get the base game. You need not worry about getting a pesky season pass.
Fallout 76 releases on November 14th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
