Factory Restoring Your Laptop

Factory Restore option is one of the advanced recovery options which now a days available is in most laptop’s and notebooks.

Restoring your laptop will revert it to it’s factory settings meaning, it will turn itself into a brand new machine in the condition as it came in. The operating system and drivers will be re-installed from the  recovery partition.

It has no effect on the hardware and only affects the software side.

Before proceeding with the restore to it’s factory state you must ensure that all your data is backed up to an external drive or a USB Flash drive. If you do not have access to any then you can back up your data online. I would recommend using “Google Drive” as they give you free 15 GB of space.

Usually, a restore is initiate by during start-up on the bios screen. If you do not know what your recovery keys are then reboot your computer and look carefully at the start-up screen for restore options.
