DRAGON BALL FIGHTER Z comes to Nintendo Switch

Dragon Ball Fighter Z, a 2.5D fighting game published by Bandai Namco, came out earlier this year on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. As of June 12th, at E3, the game was announced to arrive soon on the Nintendo Switch, making it available across all the major platforms in the market.

A little background to the game, it was first announced at the E3 2017 and came out in Japan and other regions during the first quarter of 2018. The introduction trailer can be viewed below

The game revolves, and is based on, around the characters from Dragon Ball franchise, created and designed by Akira Toriyama. Situated somewhere between the times of Future Trunks arc and the Universe Survival arc from Dragon ball super, the game follows a series of arcs, continuing a new, non-canon storyline with Android 21, a new character, as the main antagonist.

At E3 this year though, they revamped the entire title in such a way as to create a whole new experience for the switch users, in a very familiar way. A switch exclusive trailer was shown which can be viewed below

The game, along with its signature attributes, now enters the portable universe through the Nintendo Switch platform. There will be support for the easy to use Joycons as well as for hardcore gamers who prefer to use the pro controllers instead. It will all be packed with the same graphics present in the now-version of the game. The Vice President of Marketing, Eric Hartness said, “The Nintendo Switch provides the premier portable console platform from which to deliver all the power, personality, and over-the-top action DRAGON BALL FighterZ is known for and we can’t wait to see players enjoying the game everywhere they go.”

The title for Nintendo Switch was said to be available in the Americas, 2018. No specific dates were announced otherwise.
