Destiny 2 Leaker Claims Bungie Working on Removing “Power Level”

The most recent in a lengthy series of Destiny 2 leaks comes from one of the most well-known Twitter accounts with a focus on this subject. The significant allegation is that Bungie could be considering doing away with Destiny’s established Power Level system.

If true, this would significantly alter how the game’s basic progression cycle functions and how players engage with the game when new content is released. Many of the prior claims made by the appropriately called Twitter account Destiny Leaks have been proven to be true.

Since Season of the Splicer, according to Destiny Leaks’ sources, Bungie may have been considering methods to do away with Power Level advancement. The new system would, instead, rely on players’ transient Artifact Level to grant them transient, resettable power-ups.
