Dark Souls Fans on a Meltdown as Leaked Elden Ring Trailer Circulates Online

Fans of the souls series are desperately waiting for any new information on Elden Ring, a game in development since 2017. The game was first announced in E3 2019 and we have heard very little since. There were rumors of some sort of a reveal in March this year but Aaron Greenberg (Marketing GM, Xbox) shot them down stating “Just to set expectations: this is not happening. There are always things we have in the works, but nothing coming soon that would feature game announcements or world premieres like this.

Well turns out March wasn’t going to be completely dull, a supposed leaked trailer of Elden Ring is doing the rounds on the internet. The trailer shows snippets from the game world and Yes! there’s a dragon. You can find snippets of the trailer on twitter but it’s better to wait for the official thing as the footage quality is very poor and seems to be recorded from a cam.

The game was mostly headed for a 2021 release but Covid-19 probably forced “FromSoftware” to postpone the game, like it has for many other studios. We don’t have a release date yet but 2022 is a likely candidate.
