Concrete Genie Devs Working on a Next-Gen PS5 Title with Sony Pictures

PixelOpus is seemingly working on a new Next-Gen Playstation title in collaboration with Sony Pictures Animation. According to a recent report, the studio is hiring for two roles, a principal graphics programmer and a senior engine programmer. Both of these roles are broadly related to working with Unreal Engine 5 and developing for the Next Gen Sony console.

PixelOpus is an in-house Sony studio well known for its last game Concrete Genie. Their collaboration this time with Sony Pictures is interesting as that could set the stage for a game based on a movie IP. Development on Unreal Engine 5 also shows they are primarily targeting the PS5, and this could very well be a next-gen exclusive. Being a small studio PixelOpus is very experimental, and their last two releases demonstrate that, it will be interesting to see what they come up with for the Next-Gen.
