Conan Exiles – The survival game you will fall in love with

Funcom recently released its survival game “Conan Exiles” on May 8, 2018. The game has been released for PC, Xbox One, and PS4. We will be reviewing the game to give you an idea of what it really is about.
By now you might have read the tagline “Survive. Build. Dominate.”. That is exactly what this game is all about. It gives you a taste of harsh realities right from the beginning of the game.

Here is the launch trailer for the game:

Being totally honest, there isn’t much of a story as this is a survival game. The beginning, however, starts something like this. You are a criminal who has been crucified and left to die in the scorching deserts. You will start the game by choosing the specifications of your player (very ‘specific’ specifications). We hope you got it. This is the reason you might not wanna start the game sitting alongside your parents or office cliques as it might turn out to be awkward.

You start the game totally naked, nowhere to go, nothing to wear and nothing to eat. The game is all about survival and how you manage to utilize the resources of the world around you. You pass through deserts, lush green fields, lands with smoldering lava and even snow storms in the north. You have to dress yourselves according to the weather or else you might even become sick and ultimately, die. You have to feed yourselves by finding the right food, otherwise, you might even get food poisoning.

If you are the kind of player who loves strategic or survival games, then this is a must-have for you. On the other hand, if you prefer games with a proper story and structure, this might not be the one for you.

Conan exiles brings you a world where you can go from the worries of survival to building your own forts and taking down your enemies’ forts with giant avatars and your own armies. You have to work long enough to build your own empire and dominate the surroundings.

You will face mother nature in the form of snowstorms, sandstorms, extreme survival and weather conditions. You might come across local snow giants or other creatures who you’ll have to deal with in order to survive and dominate.  Another thing to be mentioned is that the game can be played either solo or with friends in a co-op mode.

The game seems to be quite boring in the beginning especially with all the crafting and other survival stuff. But if one gets hold of it, then all the progress from going hungry and finding a shelter to the joy of building your own base/fortresses and defending it against enemies is its own reward and one of the most joyful moments of the gaming experience.

The game although faces some glitches and problems like un consistent frame rates. We expect that these problems will be addressed through updates and patches in the future.
