In the world of smartwatches, we see many players today. There are big players like Apple, Samsung. Then we see watch manufacturers diving into them such as Fossil, Tag Heuer and others. Then we have a lot of Chinese manufacturers as well. These include players such as Xiaomi and Amazfit. The companies offer an exciting range of devices. So much so that one of these (Amazfit) is no available in the US as well. For Chinese products, to meet the high standards of the US market is a big deal.
Talking about Amazfit, we look at the two excellent the company brought us: the GTS 2 and the GTR 2. Some quality, premium smartwatches, the company introduced these to the US and the UK markets as well. This was about 2-3 months ago. Now, they plan on announcing a couple of more watches to add to the existing lineup. This would be during CES in the coming year. An article on GSMArena focuses on this and works on the speculations for the devices.
According to the article, the company would be adding two major devices, the GTS 2e and the GTR 2e. These would be budget, stripped-down versions of the current devices. When we say stripped-down, we mean that they would be lacking the WiFi connectivity found on the original devices. Additionally, this lack of connectivity would allow them to have a longer battery life: obviously. These have already been released in the Chinese market but perhaps at CES 2021, we would see these come to the US soil as well.
Another product predicted to be announced is the GTS 2 mini. This has already been debuted in India but during the upcoming CES, they believe it would be a part of the lineup.
In other news, Zepp, another company for smartwatches, may make additions to its portfolio in the US market. Claims are made that the company would announce Zepp E Square and Zepp E Circle at the event.
