In the court hearing of the ongoing Microsoft vs. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) case, Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick appeared as a witness and revealed that the highly anticipated Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will be released this Fall. Before this, only a vague 2023 release window had been confirmed for the mobile version of the popular game.

With Kotick’s confirmation, the global launch of Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile seems to be just around the corner. The mobile version will follow the same free-to-play model as Warzone 2.0, which was recently rebranded as Call of Duty Warzone after the recent announcement that Call of Duty: Warzone Caldera will be shutting down in September 2023.

Activision officially unveiled Warzone Mobile in 2022 and announced that several talented game studios, including Solid State Studios, Digital Legends, Beenox, and Activision Shanghai, would be collaborating to develop the game.

Furthermore, Activision revealed that Warzone Mobile will feature cross-progression, allowing players to have a unified Call of Duty experience across Warzone Mobile, Warzone 2.0, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Players will be able to seamlessly progress in all three games, and they can expect to have the same operators and weapons throughout. Even the Battle Pass will be shared between the different iterations.

Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will not only offer the traditional battle royale game mode but will also include the classic Call of Duty multiplayer experience. Players can expect the return of iconic game modes such as Domination, Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, and more. The multiplayer modes may occasionally rotate, similar to Call of Duty Mobile.
