Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 Will Launch Alongside Modern Warfare 2’s Season 1

It was in the Call of Duty Next Event that the standalone sequel to Call of Duty Warzone, Warzone 2.0 was officially announced. Activision had been holding out on us for quite a while on Warzone 2’s details and announcement but Warzone 2.0 as it’s officially called will be coming out pretty soon to our gaming screens.

Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 Launch Date Revealed

During the Call of Duty Next stream, Infinity Ward finally announced that Warzone 2.0 will release along with the Season 1 content for Modern Warfare 2. We know that Season 1 of Modern Warfare 2 is coming out on November 16. Considering this, Warzone 2.0 is expected to release the same day, with the information provided by Infinity Ward.

This release is quite similar to how Activision launched the first Call of Duty Warzone back in 2020. The free-to-play battle royale title was added as a new mode added to Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2019. It became a hit with the community to the point that it basically took over the entire ecosystem.

Warzone 2.0 will feature some big changes with the addition of the Al Mazrah map which is the biggest map that Warzone has seen to this date. The map will no longer be just one circle. In fact, multiple play regions will exist that will finally combine into one final circle.

But that’s not all, the next installment of the Call of Duty title will feature an entirely new mode by the name of DMZ, which is Call of Duty’s interpretation of the extraction shooter genre as seen in games the likes of Escape from Tarkov and Hunt: Showdown.

So, what do you think of the new additions to Call of Duty Warzone 2.0? Are you excited about the game’s upcoming release? Let us know in the comments below. We upload daily on Appuals, so stay tuned for more. Till then, see you later and goodbye!
