After the first teaser trailer back in July 2017, Mundfish has finally released the official trailer for Atomic Heart, which is a first-person shooter based in an alternate universe of Soviet Union. It will be released in the second half of 2018 for PC, Xbox One, and PS4 but no specific date has been announced by the developers yet.
The first thought that crossed our mind when we watched the trailer, was that the characters and over-all environment of the game led us to believe that it took its inspiration from both Bioshock and Fallout. The surroundings in the game seem to be a crossover of both the titles.
Judging from the trailer, our agent will be having a bunch of cool customizable weapons in his armory to deal with the robotic madness of his surroundings and to cut them short in number. He will also be having some tough time dealing with enemies and have to run through doors barricading them from what can be seen from the trailer.
In Atomic Heart, players get to play as the agent P-3, who doesn’t get much lucky in the beginning and unsuccessfully lands on enterprise “3826”. He notices a factory full of went mad robots who are willing to eliminate each and every being who isn’t made up of nuts and bolts.
Not much has been revealed regarding the story and gameplay of the game. Perhaps, the developers want to keep the hype down for a while.
Here is what the developers have to say about the game
“Atomic Heart is an adventure first-person shooter, events of which unfold in an alternative universe, during the high noon of the Soviet Union. The main character of the game is a special agent, who was sent to a highly secret object by the Soviet government after it went radio silent.
Soviet setting with a pitch of insanity, action-packed gameplay, and a thrilling story will keep you entertained for the whole duration of your journey into the world of Atomic Heart.
Unfold the secrets, restore peace and order, and show the Motherland what you got!”
