If the images are accurate the ROG Phone 2 brings a few prominent changes in the design department as opposed to the predecessor. The rear side has dual cameras aligned horizontally at the top left corner. The cameras setup position remains similar to the predecessor. However, it comes with a dual-LED flashlight. The most prominent change on the rear is lack of physical fingerprint scanner. This clearly indicates the device could have an under-glass fingerprint scanner. Like its predecessor, it will retain the RGB-enabled logo on the rear side.

On the front-facing side, the ROG Phone 2 has dual front-facing stereo speakers. Fortunately, the top and bottom bezels are reduced from the predecessor. The selfie snapper is shifted on the right corner. The power button and volume controllers are on the right edge. There is a special connector on the left edge which brings support for extra accessories.

RAM and Chipset

The Geekbench listing of the ASUS_I001DC confirms Android Pie straight out of the box and 12GB RAM. Under the hood, it will be running on the Qualcomm’s Octa-core Snapdragon 855+ chipset. It achieves impressive 3616 points on the single-core test and 11103 points on the multi-core test.
