Apple Officially Unveils M2-based 14-inch & 16-inch MacBook Pro Lineup

Apple’s M2 MacBook Pro Lineup Details Revealed

The upcoming MacBook Pro isn’t much altered from its previous iteration however changes have been made. The battery life of the MacBook Pro is now up to 22 hours, which is the longest battery life ever on a Mac, building on the incredible power efficiency of Apple technology.

The new MacBook Pro offers Wi-Fi 6E3, which is up to twice as fast as the previous generation, and upgraded HDMI, which for the first time enables 8K screens, for improved connection. Creators may work on scenes that are so vast that PC laptops cannot even run them thanks to the M2 Max models up to 96GB of unified memory. 

The acclaimed Liquid Retina XDR display, a vast range of connections, a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, a six-speaker sound system, and studio-quality microphones round out the unmatched capabilities of the MacBook Pro. M2 Pro and M2 Max Provides Huge Performance Leaps from Predecessors 

With M2 Pro and M2 Max, MacBook Pro is capable of revolutionizing pro workflows across a broad variety of fields, from art to science to app development. Performance, battery life, connection, and general productivity have all dramatically improved for those upgrading from Mac models based on Intel. Additionally, the MacBook Pro keeps running well whether users are plugged in or using batteries.

With up to eight high-performance and four high-efficiency cores, the 10 or 12-core CPU in the MacBook Pro with M2 Pro offers up to 20% more performance than the M1 Pro.

A next-generation GPU with up to 19 cores increases graphics performance by up to 30%, while the Neural Engine is 40% quicker, accelerating machine learning applications like image and video processing. Additionally, M2 Pro’s powerful media engine rips through the most well-liked video codecs, substantially speeding video playing and encoding while using a little amount of power.

The enclosure of the MacBook Pro is made entirely of aluminum, rare earth elements are used in all of the magnets, tin is used in the solder of the main logic board, and gold is used in the plating of several printed circuit boards. All of these materials are recycled. Additionally, it has various components made of at least 35 percent recycled plastic and complies with Apple’s strict requirements for energy efficiency. 

The new MacBook Pro models with M2 Pro and M2 Max are available to order today, January 17, on and in the Apple Store app in 27 countries and regions, including the US. They will begin arriving to customers and will be in Apple Store locations and Apple Authorized Resellers starting Tuesday, January 24.

The new 14-inch MacBook Pro with M2 Pro starts at $1,999 (US), and $1,849 (US) for education; and the 16-inch MacBook Pro with M2 Pro starts at $2,499 (US), and $2,299 (US) for education
