Upcoming Apple Star Device To Be Powered By ARM Chip

Mysterious Star Prototype Could Turn Out To Be Anything

There has been a rumor regarding an Apple Star device and while there is very little information regarding what it is, rumor has it that it will be powered by an ARM chip. Previously Apple laptops have been powered by Intel chips while the mobile devices have been powered by Apple’s own chips. We have also heard that Apple will be making chips of its own to power laptops, but these won’t be available till 2020.

So what is this Apple Star device? At this point in time, it could be anything. As far as the rumors go, it could come with a touchscreen, SIM card slot, GPS, and water resistance. Keeping these specifications it mind, it could be a MacBook with a touchscreen, something that people have been wanting for a long time now. If we had support for the pen as well then that would be appreciated as well.

Keep in mind that this would not be something out of the ordinary. Microsoft has been doing this for a while now and the Surface Book works fine with the pen as well as with fingers. Other than that we have been hearing about ARM-based notebooks that might not be too powerful but they will have a very long battery life. Some have been rated to last whole days at a time and even longer.

MacBooks have been known to have a very long battery life and with ARM chips inside, the power delivery might not be as exciting as Intel chips but the battery life will be extended to a whole new level. This is something that we will have to look into.  Word has it that the Apple Star device has been in production since January 2018, so we could get more information regarding what it is at the WWDC Apple event that is coming up soon.

A move to ARM chips would be something that we did not see coming and I would like to see how well people react to that. Will it be widely accepted or not? We will have to wait and see.

Let us know what you think about this mysterious Apple Star device and what you think this device could be.
