AORUS, a brand of GIGABYTE has recently teased its upcoming PCIe Gen 5.0 SSD on Twitter. This SSD is dubbed as ‘AORUS Gen5 10000‘.
Continuing the thread, AORUS then went on to give us a sneak peek regarding the performance metrics. The sequential write speed amounts up to 12,453MB/s whereas the write speeds are in the 10,000MB/s league. Now that’s what I call fast.
If these speeds are kept consistent, within half a minute you can transfer 100 Full HD movies (~3.5GB/each).
The press release reads that the the SSDs will come in flavors ranging from 1TB all the way up to 4TB in terms of capacity.
AORUS Gen5 10000 SSD unleashes the full potential of PCIe 5.0 performance with 10 GB/s ultra-fast access speed, which is a 40% increase over the last generation
