AMD Plans to Launch its Zen3 Ryzen 5000 ‘PRO’ Desktop CPUs

AMD’s complete focus is not on Zen4, as just a few days past their Zen3 based Embedded Desktop CPUs were leaked by Advantech.

These CPUs will be featured in the Lenovo ThinkStation P358 Tower PC and are currently targetted for various regions throughout the world.

From the listing, we see that this lineup features the Ryzen 9 Pro 5945, the Ryzen 7 Pro 5845 and the Ryzen 5 Pro 5645. The exact specifications of these SKUs are currently unknown, although we can expect the R9, the R7 and the R5 to ship with 16, 8 and 6 cores respectively. Do note that the embedded counterpart from the Zen3 architecture had cut-down specifications.

  • AMD Ryzen 9 5950E 12 cores / 24 threads
  • AMD Ryzen 9 5900E 10 cores / 20 threads
  • AMD Ryzen 7 5800E 8 cores / 16 threads
  • AMD Ryzen 5 5600E 6 cores / 12 threads

These CPUs can be expected to launch sometime after Zen4 (15th September 2022). As for Zen4’s PRO or embedded series, don’t keep your hopes high as they will probably launch a few years after the launch of AMD’s Ryzen 7000 CPUs.
