AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6C/12T ZEN 3 CPU Better Than Intel Core i5-10600K In Synthetic Benchmarks

AMD’s ZEN 3 based Ryzen 5000 Series desktop-grade CPUs have been steadily appearing online, and the latest synthetic benchmarks should concern Intel. The mid-level AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, a 6 Core 12 Thread CPU has proven itself to be far better than Intel Core i5-10600K. It is, however, important to note that a few parameters weren’t standard.

The AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Desktop CPU has been benchmarked within Cinebench R15. The numbers show the multi-threading performance of AMD’s mainstream which will compete against the 10th-Gen Intel Core i5 CPU. However, if the numbers hold up in real-life tests, then the AMD ZEN 3 CPU should easily outsell the Intel counterpart.

AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Desktop CPU Cinebench R15 Scores Prove AMD CPU Better In Single And Multi-Threaded Operations Than Intel’s Core i5:

The Cinebench R15 scores for the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Desktop CPU were 2040 points in multi-threading and 258 points in the single-threaded tests. The testbench was using the AMD CPU at over-clocked speeds of 4.7 GHz across all of its 6 Cores. The testbench CPU was running with 16GB DDR4 memory clocked at 3200 MHz (CL14 timings) on an ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII HERO motherboard.

In comparison, the Intel Core i5-10600K scores 1428 points in multi-threaded and 206 points in single-threaded workloads. Last year’s ZEN 2-based AMD Ryzen 7 3700X scored 2112 points in multi and 204 points in single-thread benchmarks. Similarly, AMD Ryzen 5 3600X scored 1639 points in multi and 210 points in single-core tests.

Simple math indicates the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X is 42 percent faster in multi-threading and 25 percent faster in single-core performance than the Intel Core i5-10600K. It is important to note that the Intel CPU is not only clocked higher but also has an almost double TDP of 125W versus AMD’s 65W TDP. As expected, the AMD processor performed better than its predecessor, the ZEN 2-based AMD Ryzen 5 3600XT.

AMD Ryzen 5 5600X ZEN 3 Desktop CPU Specifications, Features, And Price:

The AMD Ryzen 5 5600X is a 6 core and 12 thread CPU. AMD claims it is the best 6C/12T CPU in the market for gamers. The CPU has a Base Clock of 3.7 GHz and a Boost Clock of 4.6 GHz. The chip features a total of 36 MB of cache and a TDP of 65W.

AMD is planning to launch the ZEN 3-based Ryzen 5000 Series CPUs within this week itself. The AMD Ryzen 5 5600X is expected to retail at $299 on launch. All the ZEN 3 CPUs can be slotted inside the 500 series (X570 / B550) motherboards, and even the slightly older 400-series motherboards too will gain support early next year.
