AMD To Unveil RDNA3 GPUs On The 3rd of November

AMD is set to reveal their RDNA3 architecture on the 3rd of November. This announcement is a follow up to to last month’s tweet from Scott Herkelman. Back then, it was assumed that these GPUs will be announced and retail on the same day. However, a new press release from AMD has no mention of a launch window.

RDNA3

AMD’s RDNA3 microarchitecture is the successor to the critically acclaimed RDNA2 lineup. GPUs based on this architecture are expected to make use of TSMC’s 5nm process, almost similar to NVIDIA’s Lovelace (4N or 5nm). Team red promises a 50% performance per watt gain as compared to last-gen. With RDNA3, each CU (Compute Unit) features 128 shading units as compared to the 64 featured with RDNA1/2.

AMD is holding a live event on the 3rd of November namely ‘together we advance_gaming‘. The live event will take place at 1:00 PM PDT on Thursday on AMD’s YouTube Channel. If timing is an issue, a replay will be available at AMD.com/Radeon a few hours after the event.
