Xiaomi manages to produce a lot of products that aren’t just diverse but easy on the pocket as well. Phones, energy-based products, smart-home products, and even fitness devices. The latter includes smart scales and smartwatches. The sub-brand for these is Amazfit. The most basic one out of this was the Amazfit Bip. Gizmochina now reports that a successor to the budget-friendly device is all set to feature at CES 2020.
The article states that Huami announced the launch of a new product (its TWS earbuds) at CES. This was later complemented by Amazfit’s twitter account which stated the launch of the successor, The Amazfit Bip S.
According to Huami, the device would not only be ultralight but it would feature a design to compensate for better, ultra-long battery life and a more powerful processor under the hood. The company, in its tweet, attached a teaser for the device which shows the design to be unchanged. It features the same square dial design and a 22mm band. Perhaps the company would change the display to give it a more sharp image to be displayed.
The article does state that the watch may feature newer color options for it which, previously, was just black. Additionally, it may just include a standalone GPS module on the inside, which was missing from the original Amazfit Bip.
This may take it up a notch from the Amazfit GTS which was thought to be a pseudo successor to the original model but only featured incremental updates. Perhaps we have to wait till CES 2020 in the coming weeks to really know for sure. Till then, we may see more rumors floating in the market. As for the watch itself, you guys may see the first look of the watch in the tweets embedded below.
We'll be unveiling it at #CES2020!
