Intel Readies Alder Lake-N N95 CPU With 4 E-Cores & 4 Threads

Intel is planning to launch a CPU under the umbrella of the AL-N lineup. What’s so interesting about this CPU one may ask? Well, CPUs pertaining to this specific lineup only have E-Cores. A while back, Intel pulled the plug on its Pentium and Celeron series which will now be replaced by the N and the Core CPUs. The CPU in question today is the AL-N N95 with a 4-core / 4-thread configuration.

Over at Geekbench, the Intel N95 has been tested and the performance is, not that great to be really honest. The N95 features a base frequency of 1.7GHz which went as high as 2.8GHz. In addition, we see 8MB of Cache (6MB L3 + 2MB L2 ). The test bench used the Windows 11 Pro OS along with 8GB of system memory.

Now let’s go over the actual test results. The N95 managed to score 781 points in the single-core test and 1978 points in the multi-core test. For some context, this is lower than some mobile phones. Either way, this test is not comparable to even a 65W CPU because the AL-N series is aimed at low-power desktops.
