Activision Delays Call of Duty Mobile Season 7 to Show Solidarity with Ongoing Protests in the US

Call of Duty Mobile is arguably one of the most popular games on Android and iOS. The game quickly got a huge fan following thanks to the perfected CoD gameplay system and impressive graphics on mobile. The game was developed by Tencent games (the same studio that developed PUBG Mobile) and published by Activision. It features almost all of the beloved online modes from the main CoD games such as Team Death Match, Frontline. Domination and the famous zombie mode. The game also features a Battle Royale system too, but it is popular mostly due to the modes mentioned above.
Season 6, which started on the 4th of March and was supposed to end yesterday with the reveal of Season 7. Unfortunately, Activision has announced that season 7 has been delayed indefinitely. According to a tweet from the official Call of Duty account, the delay is due to the tensions that happened after the tragic death of George Floyd. The season 4 of Call of Duty Modern Warfare has also been delayed indefinitely.
CoD believes, “It is time for those speaking up for equality, justice, and change to be seen and heard.”

Activision is not the only company that is postponing its events due to the police brutality happened against the person of color. Yesterday we reported that PlayStation has also delayed its PS5 reveal event (previously scheduled for this Thursday) due to the same reason. Many other developers are following the suit to show solidarity with the protests.
