Ubisoft Unveils Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Full Reveal on September 10

After a myriad of leaks and rumors took the gaming community by storm, Ubisoft was left no choice but to unveil the next entry in the Assassin’s Creed franchise. As expected, the game is called “Assassin’s Creed Mirage” and will be set in Baghdad

The game aims to return to series fundamentals while eliminating most of the RPG elements used in the more recent editions. From what we understand, this is Ubisoft’s gateway into Assassin’s Creed Infinity, the live-service AC project currently in development.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage will emphasize the essential gameplay elements that have helped make the Assassin’s Creed series a beloved video game franchise. Along with gameplay and fighting elements that pay respect to what made the franchise one of the finest parkour and stealth games of all time, expect improved and refined mobility and parkour capabilities.

According to Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier, the game will take place in Baghdad between 860 and 870 and will go back to its fundamental gameplay principles. Further rumors indicate that the upcoming Assassin’s Creed title is set to star the mysterious Basim from Valhalla.

Features like the leveling system, gender selection, and conversation options will be removed from the game. Generally speaking, the gameplay is anticipated to alter significantly from what we saw in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, in addition to some new animations.

According to sources, the game will be available between April and June 2023, at best Spring. Assassin’s Creed Mirage is expected to release for the Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, PS4, PS5, and Microsoft Windows. At Ubisoft’s presentation on September 10, more information is anticipated to be shared, and we’ll bring it to you as soon we get it.
