How to Jailbreak iPhone 4, 4s, 5, 5c, 5s, on iOS 7 with Evasi0n (Windows Method)

This guide provides instructions how to jailbreak iPhone 4, iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, and iPhone 5s on iOS 7 to iOS 7.0.6 (It also works on iOS 7.1 beta 1 and beta 2) using Evasi0n for Windows.

Before You Start

Please make sure you have a backup of your iPhone’s data in case something went wrong. Apple allows you to do that even without using a computer. If you haven’t done it before, you can check the following link How to Backup an iPhone Without Wi-Fi or a Computer. Also, turn off your passcode lock on your iPhone (you can turn it on after the jailbreaking procedure). And, if you previously have updated your device OTA (Over The Air), you would need to do a full backup then restore. Now let’s begin with the jailbreaking.

Jailbreaking iOS 7 Using Evasi0n

1. Connect your iPhone to your Windows PC and perform a manual backup of your device’s data.
2. Make a new folder on your desktop and name it “Pwnage.” Now, download the latest version of Evasi0n. You can find it at the following link.
   We recommend downloading iOS 7.0.6 firmware for your iPhone into the Pwnage folder you just created. Evad3rs suggest a full restore before performing the jailbreak. Here you can find the firmware for your device.
   

3. Now, extract the Evasi0n zip file to the same Pwnage folder on your desktop.
   
4. Launch iTunes on your Windows PC.
   
5. Make sure your iPhone is connected to the PC via USB. Then, select it from the left sidebar or the top right corner of iTunes.
   
6. Press the Shift button on the keyboard, and while pressing it click on Restore iPhone button in iTunes.
   
7. A popup window will appear. Select your iPhone firmware file (ipsw) from the Pwnage folder you created on the desktop and click Open.
   
8. Another popup window will appear, asking you to confirm your action. Just click Restore.
   
9. Once the restore has successfully finished, right–click the evasi0n7.exe. Now, choose Run as Administrator from the contextual menu, to launch the program.
   
10. Remove any lock screen passcode on your iPhone, then click the Jailbreak button on the Evasi0n app to begin the process.
    
11. The app will retrieve information from the iDevice to generate jailbreak data. Then it will upload the data, inject evasi0n app 1, inject evasi0n app 2, configure system 1, configure system 2, and finally reboot.
    
12. At this point, you will be asked to unlock your iPhone and tap the new evasi0n 7 app on the SpringBoard. Just tap the app once, and it will open and immediately close.
    
13. Then, Evasion will reboot your device once again. It will modify RootFS and then finish the process.
    
14. When your iPhone boots up, you will see the Cydia app on your SpringBoard. And, that means you have successfully jailbroken your iPhone.
